Eye clinic hiring experienced Optometrist

Perform optometrist duty, care and co-ordination daily

Key accountabilities • Carry out eye care tests Examine eyes, using observation, instruments and pharmaceutical agents, to determine visual acuity and perception, focus and coordination and to diagnose diseases and other abnormalities such as glaucoma or color blindness. • Prescribe, counsel appropriate other vision aids. • Assist doctor in prescribing medications to treat eye diseases under doctor’s supervision. • assist doctor in all other clinical areas • Liaise and co-ordinate with relevant departments for patient care • Call, follow through, counsel and make appointment for patients • Advise patient/next of kin/relatives/friends on the types of procedure which they will be undergoing • Support and manage events, manpower, logistics to ensure smooth running of event • Quality of counseling and converting patients for procedures i.e., LASIK or cataract • Ensure smooth and prompt coordination of care for patient at the centre and at the hospitals • Provide quality counseling to patients for eye care and advice • Able to oversee equipment functions and centre’s maintenance needs • Support staff at the centre • Handles difficult queries pertaining to process, clinical queries referred by staff • Guide staff to explain how procedures are carried out • Ensure equipment and centre facilities are checked and maintained, • To perform tasks as assigned by superiors

Qualifications & Experience

Degree / Diploma in optometry
Registered with the relevant authority in S’pore as required

Additional Information

Able to utilise instruments, pharmaceutical agents to provide accurate vision care and tests to patients
Analyze test results and develop a treatment plan.
Educate and counsel patients on contact lens care, visual hygiene, lighting arrangements and safety factors.
Able to identify irregularities from equipments used for eye tests and care.
Provide patients undergoing eye surgeries, such as cataract and laser vision correction, with pre- and post-operative care.
Follow through proper and accurate treatment plan in accordance to doctor’s advice.
Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
